What Is PRP Therapy?

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy is one of the most versatile and well-studied regenerative treatments available today. By concentrating the growth factors found in your own blood, PRP accelerates the body’s natural healing response — repairing damaged tissues, reducing inflammation, and stimulating new cell growth. At Glory Regenerative Center, PRP is used across multiple specialties: orthopedic healing for joints and soft tissue, facial rejuvenation, hair restoration, and sexual wellness for both men and women. Each of our locations has at least one Certified PRP Educational Consultant ready to answer your questions about this treatment.

Who Is a Good Candidate?

PRP therapy may be right for you if you experience chronic joint pain, tendon or ligament injuries, early-stage arthritis, rotator cuff tears, ankle sprains, osteoarthritis of the knee, hip, or shoulder, hair thinning, or if you are seeking non-surgical facial rejuvenation or sexual wellness enhancement.

How It Works

1

Blood Draw

A small sample of your blood is drawn, similar to a routine lab test.

2

Centrifuge Processing

Your blood is placed in a centrifuge to separate and concentrate the platelet-rich plasma from red and white blood cells.

3

Targeted Injection

The concentrated PRP is precisely injected into the treatment area using ultrasound guidance when appropriate.

4

Recovery & Results

Most patients resume normal activities within 24–48 hours. Full healing benefits develop over 4–8 weeks. The entire procedure takes approximately 30–60 minutes.

What to Expect

Your PRP treatment begins with a thorough consultation where Dr. Ikudayisi evaluates your condition and determines if PRP is the right approach. On treatment day, the entire procedure takes approximately 30–60 minutes. You may experience mild soreness at the injection site for 1–3 days. Most patients notice improvement within 2–4 weeks, with optimal results at 8–12 weeks. Two to three injections are typically recommended for optimal orthopedic results, spaced 3–4 weeks apart.
